What is a Flood Zone

FEMA assigns a letter (X, B, C, A, or V) to properties based on their susceptibility to flooding. The letter assigned by FEMA determines the flood zone classification of a property. Low Risk Zones are X, B, C. High Risk Zones include A, AE, V, and VE.
