Commercial insurance questions
What information do I need to start a commercial quote?
Helpful information may include a description of operations, ownership details, locations, annual sales, payroll, employee counts, vehicle and driver lists, property values, contracts, current policies and loss runs. The exact requirements depend on the coverage and type of business.
Can MAD Insurance help with certificates and contract requirements?
Yes. We can review insurance requirements and help with certificates of insurance, additional insured requests and endorsements when supported by the policy. A certificate is evidence of coverage and does not itself change the policy.
Do small businesses need more than general liability?
Often, yes. General liability does not replace commercial auto, workers’ compensation, professional liability, cyber, flood or coverage for your own building, tools, equipment and inventory. The right combination depends on the business.
Can you insure a new or hard-to-place business?
We work with standard and specialty markets. Availability depends on the operation, location, experience, loss history and requested coverage, but we can help determine which markets may be appropriate.
How often should a business insurance program be reviewed?
At least annually and whenever there is a meaningful change, such as a new location, vehicle, employee, service, product, contract, piece of equipment or ownership structure.
Not sure what coverage you need?
Tell us about your business. Our commercial team will organize the details and help identify the right next step.
Coverage is subject to underwriting, policy terms, conditions and exclusions. Coverage cannot be bound, changed or confirmed through this website, email, fax or voicemail. Confirmation from a licensed MAD Insurance agent is required.
